Overlapping House is a weekend family retreat. The client's main brief was that the stunning surrounding views be maximized to create a relaxing living space. Our key goal as interior designers was to integrate the external and internal environments through a variety of visual scenes that unfold with the non-linear axis of the house. This also enabled us to create a series of multifunctional living zones. For example, the main living area incorporates relaxation, kitchen and dining spaces. The master bedroom, located at the intersection of two axes, extends this multifunctional theme by providing a serene sleeping area as well as a small nook for taking tea.
